You may redeem your digital Costco Shop Card at any Costco warehouse within the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, or online at Costco.com or Costco.ca.

Costco Shop Cards are not redeemable for cash, except as required by law. The following states allow for cash back when your balance drops below a certain amount:

• Balance less than $10: CA
• Balance less than $5: CO, HI, ME, MA, MT, NJ, OR, WA
• Balance less than $2.50: TX
• Balance less than $1: RI, VT

Members may check their balance at Costco.com. Here's how:

• Visit the homepage, and find Costco Shop Card Balance (located near the bottom.)
• Enter your Costco Shop Card number. You will have received this number by email.
• Type in the four-digit PIN, which is also sent by email.
• Select the Check Balance button and the balance should display immediately.

Occasionally Shop Card emails are intercepted by spam filters; please check your spam folder for an email from Costco@digitalshopcard.costco.com. If you are still unable to locate it, please contact Costco directly for further assistance.

The Costco Shop Card cannot be used as a form of payment on Costco Next at this time.

Neither Costco nor any of its affiliates are responsible for the use of the Costco Shop Card without your permission. Costco Shop Card will immediately be void if Costco determined that it was at any time obtained illegally (including by fraud, theft, or other criminal act or failing to tender proper payment) or if it is altered or (if applicable) defaced. Delivery to an incorrect but deliverable email as provided by the purchaser is the responsibility of the purchaser. Costco is not responsible for lost or stolen Costco Shop Card(s). If your Costco Shop Card is lost or stolen, and you have proof of purchase, Costco will issue a replacement for the shown value on our records by visiting the membership desk at your local warehouse. If you did not purchase the Costco Shop Card directly from Costco, the original issue value identified on the card may not reflect the actual balance, due to factors beyond the control of Costco (e.g. third-party use).

Use of this card constitutes acceptance of the following terms: The card may be used only for making purchases of merchandise at any Costco location in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, or on Costco.com and Costco.ca. Digital Costco Shop Cards are not accepted at U.S. or Canada Food Court Kiosks, or at Canada Gas Stations or Car Washes. Neither Costco Wholesale Corporation nor its affiliates are responsible for use of the card without your permission. Balances cannot be applied as payments to any account or redeemed for cash, except as required by law. Shop Cards are non-refundable.

The recipient’s email address MUST be supplied in the email field on the Shipping Address page. To ensure delivery of the Digital Shop Card, please add Costco@digitalshopcard.costco.com to your email address book or safe list. Delivery to an incorrect but deliverable email address as provided by the purchaser is the responsibility of the purchaser.

The recipient will receive the Digital Shop Card by email around 40 days after delivery of their eligible Costco Next purchase. Additional processing time may be required. Digital Shop Cards can be accessed by clicking the "Access Card Now" button in the email. This email will come from Costco@digitalshopcard.costco.com. These cards do not require activation prior to use.
